Denis Ellis

Elected a Trustee in 2004 and appointed Chairman the following year.

Spent the whole of his working career with Nat West Bank, latterly having run the Bank's Cardiff and Birmingham Commercial Business Centres before retiring in 1995.

A family man with a son and two daughters, lives in Dorridge with his wife Carol.

A member of Copt Heath Golf Club and Warwickshire County Cricket Club

John Powell

Joined the Foundation in 2002 as treasurer and trustee.

John was born in Fulham and educated at University College school Hamstead North London. Qualified as a chartered accountant in 1962 and was employed by Coopers & Lybrand for 34 years. He became a partner of the firm in 1997. After spending 2 years in Hong Kong he joined the firms Birmingham office in 1986. He is a member of Copt Heath Golf Club and treasurer of Warwickshire Union of Golf Clubs for the past 5 years. He lives in Solihull with his daughter.

Keith Lester

Elected a Trustee in 2002

Formerly an Area Director for LloydsTSB with responsibility for its Corporate and Commercial business in the East Midlands.

Born in Solihull, he returned 20 years ago and lives with his wife Teresa in Dorridge. They have 3 children.

He has now retired, although maintains a non executive role at Birmingham Children's Hospital where he is deputy chairman. His interests include sailing, photography and playing golf.

Sharon Pinnock

Manager, Solihull Community Foundation

Sharon has been involved with SCF for 8 years and has a wealth of experience dealing with local charities and organisations. She has lived in the north of the Borough since the age of 11 and obviously knows the area very well. Sharon is always ready to help with advice and support to organisations who feel they may be eligible for any of the grants which SCF administers. She is contactable on 0121 700 3934.
